10 Months

My baby is double digits! I’ve been a little teary this morning thinking about how much he’s grown and then he had to go and try to stand up on his own in the middle of the room. He didn’t quite make it and did a cute little topple on to the carpet. He’s climbing on everything, pulling up and has taken some assisted steps behind his push car, but I am not ready for standing or walking. I am not sure where the time is going; now that I am home all the time, it seems to go by even faster.

Spencer seems to be right on track developmentally. I swear he can talk and he is just keeping it from us. He randomly repeats things.  He has clearly said “Boo,” both independently and after we say it. As it is the hubs nickname for him, it almost counts as saying a word. He has also said yeah, yay and whee appropriately or repeated. Also, he learned to throw! It is so cute. He can toss a ball, or keys or whatever, in front of him and chase after it.

There are a couple areas where I am a little less than thrilled, though. He is still waking up to nurse two to three times per night. I hope to get that down to one by a year. He also doesn’t nap on a very good schedule and can pretty much only be nursed to sleep. I am hesitant to work on any of this before we go on our two trips in June because I worry that the disruption will undo any progress we might be able to make.

All in all, this has been an amazing 10 months.
