China Project – 10 days in

The funny result – that I wasn’t expecting – of not buying anything made in china for a month is that I no longer want to buy anything. It is annoying and too much effort and I am always disappointed. I got Target coupons in the mail and didn’t care. I get catalogs in the mail and don’t look at them because it is too hard to figure out where things were made. Everything just says imported. Even my beloved CB2. Speaking of which, not sure if I am horrified or amused that the wall art I got for my birthday is also in the Jersey Shore Miami house.

As an unexpected bonus, I am inspired to put together Spencer’s Halloween costume myself. I think I figured out how to do it mostly out of things we already own and I am going to try and buy as little as possible, or get things that can still be worn after the holiday.

  1. I can’t wait to see what you create! I went the easy route and bought a carter’s dragon costum from costco and am pairing it with a onesie that has a dragon on it as well… I think I’m going to dress up as a damsle in distress.
