Irons in the fire

People ask me all the time if I miss working. Or better yet, if I am bored yet. I find it annoying and actually I don’t miss my job all that much. I was a little burned out and was very over office politics and super negative people. It was so amazing, during my maternity I heard very little office gossip and I did not miss it at all.

What I do miss is the sense of urgency that comes from working in Administration in a hospital. I also really miss completing project and the craziness that comes from deadlines and too many things going on at once. I did love that. I complained about it and the hours and the ridiculous tasks I was given four hours to complete, but part of me misses the stress.

Needless to say, I think that is why I like my blogging schedule. I get to cross things off the list. And I started Soup or Salad Blog, there is another project. I have another writing project in the works and I’m opening an etsy store to sell off the boxes of vintage stuff I have in storage. Time to clean house. 2011 is going to be fun.

I am so with you here–I don’t miss working either. But I am thinking about starting a children’s boutique on Etsy, with cute bows and clothing…as well as my blog and writing for Examiner.com. And you know, raising my kids and keeping my house.
