Week (12) in Phone Photos

I scrolled though my phone pictures on Friday and realized that there were slim pickings for this post, so I thought I would try something new. I loved the post Emily did that was a picture an hour for a day (her post was inspired by bluebird vintage)  and I thought I would try and combine it with the phone picture post. Win Win! Except for the fact that my phone takes crappy pictures, this would have been a brilliant idea. And the pictures at night are truly horrible. It was an experiment and I had so much fun doing it, but I think I’ll try it again with my actual camera, but because I am stubborn to the point of ridiculousness, here is a crappy post based on an awesome idea. Enjoy!

Spencer likes to run around like this for awhile before I finished getting him dressed. I consider this proof positive that my white trash genes triumphs over my husband’s classier half upper-middle class genes.

Leaving Trader Joe’s. I have to go early on the weekends or it gets too crowded. Also, Spencer threw that bag out of the cart while I was checking the picture on my phone and I didn’t notice until I ran over it with the cart. Oh well, smooshed snap peas are better than no snap peas.

Home, groceries put away. Wrapping up a little drawing, Nick Jr and snack time.

We came inside from an hour outside gardening, playing catch and blowing bubbles. I am getting that face because I tried to take his lemon away.

Very end of lunch. Spencer loves lunch. Obviously.

Spencer took a nap and I worked out in our super fancy storage room home gym. For those keeping track, that makes 7 days in a row. Which for me, deserves a medal.

My attempt to nurse Spencer back to sleep after he work up at 1:45 failed. But I still liked the cuddles. I know lap naps won’t last forever, I am trying to appreciate them while they still last.

My phone ate the 3:00 picture, but it was of Spencer skyping with my sister. It was awesome. Not really. Well, the skyping was awesome, the picture not so much.

Spencer jousting with the cabinets while I fixed (soon to appear on Soup or Salad Blog) chickpea salad.

Hubs got home right around here and Spencer celebrated by spinning in circles (right). I got video, but embedding video makes my ads go wonky and then they get mad. I’ll upload it to facebook instead, if I can figure out how to get it off of my phone.

You are my friend on facebook, right?

The  crappiness of these photos is really a shame because inspired by that Dr Strings video that plays on Nick Jr all.the.time, hubs got out his violin and played it for Spencer while I finished up dinner. Note: in nearly 7 years of marriage, he has never played it for me.

Post after dinner apple, pre-tooth brushing.

Bath time with Da.

Toddler asleep and this beer is really, really good.

Thanks for playing along. All kidding about the pictures aside, I am really bummed that the quality was so bad on my first attempt at this. But, I learned a few things. I tried to take pictures on the hour, every hour. It leaves out huge chunks of the day. Toddlers flit from activity to activity so quickly, I think it would be fun to take a picture every 15 minutes and make a quad collage for every hour. I am sure that will appear here on the blog soon. And not with my phone pictures. Lesson learned.

Jousting toddler, and beer. Seems like a great day to me. Plus, day 7? I’ll send you SEVEN medals. That’s like a Double Platinum Medal. Good for you!

Seriously super jealous of your home gym and so freaking proud of you for doing it 7 days in a row. That’s hardcore, lady! You deserve cake.

I love the pictures. I love the idea of a picture an hour. Maybe I will try it one day when my head stops exploding from the cuteness that was your day.

This was awesome – your worst pictures are probably better than my best ones. I want to sneak over there and steal your snap peas and your beer! Or just swing by and have some :)

Wait, so is your toddler barrel tub REALLY just one of those big buckets from Target we put ice and beer in for parties? Because that is an EXCELLENT idea. We’re still using the infant tub with Evan because otherwise he tries to splash 100 gallons of water out onto the floor.

I love the picture and hour idea and plan to steal it immediately.

    Amy Reply:

Yes. It is a $5 keg tub we bought at Lowe’s. And we still use it for parties. My husband thought of that one.

At this time it sounds like WordPress is
the best blogging platform available right now. (from what I’ve read) Is that what you’re using on your blog?

Hey! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are
you using for this website? I’m getting tired of WordPress because I’ve
had issues with hackers and I’m looking at options for
another platform. I would be awesome if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.
