SITS Photo Challenge Day 3

Today is all about light, light, light. For some great info on both indoor and outdoor lighting, check out the post here. The weather seemed to be cooperating with slightly overcast skies, so we headed outside and immediately the sun popped out, which is not ideal for taking pictures.

Cute face, decent composition but the light caused spots and funky shadows. And this is with the exposure adjusted a bit.

This one is also in fun sun, but I like the shadow. Note: spencer is yelling HiYA!

We moved under the tree for some shots in the dappled light. I really like how this turned out except for two spots – the light hitting the metal watering can and the light hitting the avocado leaf in the forefront.

The sun went back behind some clouds and I could take some pictures in “full sun.” Much better. Bonus – a clear shot of his thinking face.

Don’t mind me, I just got up here all by myself.

Playing around with focus. I am having SO MUCH fun with these assignments. I’m loving this for sure. Maybe I should take a class…

Yay! I love to hear people enjoying their camera and doing fun things with it. I’m really liking it too. I have to get my photos up from today.

I also love Spencer playing w/ the waterhose. The perspective is nice.

I was too lazy to get on the ground. I just lowered my arm really low while sitting in the chair, lol. Sometimes lazy works out.

Taking a class or workshop is a good idea and a lot of fun! I’m going to have some recommendations at the end of the series for online options under $50.

Also, nice shots! I like the one where he’s on the cement and you’re down at his level. Also the last shot is framed very nicely with the leaves on top! I feel like I’m spying on him. Well done!

Thanks! I like sticking random plants at the edges of shots, but it doesn’t always work out this well. And I’m excited to hear the info about classes!

Your son sitting in that chair is great! Good job with the photos. I am going to have to bring my camera out tomorrow and get some good lighting pics. I forgot to bring it out today and it was beautiful and sunny! ;(
