Giveaway: Elle the Heiress Birthday Cards

**Giveaway is now closed**

So, for Birthday Week I thought, “Hey, Maybe I should give something away. That’s totally fun.” Of course, I thought this on Friday. I threw it out there on twitter and who should volunteer something from her delightful shop, but  Elle The Heiress. (Are you following her on Twitter? You really should.) We decided to giveaway these lovely birthday cards because they are on theme, but she has much more than paper goods. There are adorable rings, pendants and earrings, too!

Here is a little more about the cards from the lovely shopowner herself:

These five lovely, shabby chic birthday cards are perfect for any feminine lady in your life. You can give all five cards to her as a nice little gift set, or send them out individually to spread the love to others.

The cards feature some of my favorite paper crafting techniques, such as edge distressing and inking, which add a fantastic understated design element. The beauty of each one is better seen and appreciated when the photos are enlarged. I know that the front of the first card is hard to read in the photograph, so it says, “The more you praise and celebrate you life, the more there is in life to celebrate. -Oprah Winfrey”

Each card is approximately 4″ tall by 5.5″ wide and they come with matching envelopes, ready for mailing to your favorite people.

But enough words, you want to see how cute they are, don’t you!

I would show you a close up, but I think it would be more fun to surprise the winner. So, how do you enter? Just leave a comment about your favorite birthday party game as a kid. Mine’s a tie between pinatas and pin the tail on the thematically appropriate animal.

Winner will be chosen via Random.org on July 1st, late at night. Or the 2nd. Just enter before you leave for your holiday plans. Open to US residents only. I was not compensated for this giveaway in any way.

I think having a pinata was the best addition to a birthday party. I mean, what’s not great about giving a blindfolded kid a stick to swing? FUN FOR EVERYONE.

Pinatas, no question. I was known to straight up push kids out of the way for the good candy, too.

My birthday usually ended up around Easter, so my mom did things like Pin the Tail on the Bunny & an Easter Egg Toss. It’s about as crafty as she ever got, but I appreciate it much more now that I’m trying to pull together a party for my kid!

Pinatas!! They were rare at my friends parties and at ours, which may be why I liked them so much!

  9. My birthday is in June too so I always had a pool party, favorite game Marco Polo. I haven’t played in a long time but pretty sure I would still have fun :)

My parents used to play a fishing game for our birthdays. You stick the fishing pole out the window, drop the line, and someone was hidden underneath to tie a goody bag to the end. Once the “fish” pulled you could reel in your catch! So much fun when you’re a kidlet!
