Pumpkin Patch 2011

Spencer’s school had a pumpkin patch field trip. Well, it wasn’t so much a patch as pumpkins laying perfectly spaced on the education adjunct field, but whatever. It was fun. My husband was able to come which made it even more fun. It seems like we never get a chance to do things with the whole family these days. We skipped out on the school’s after-patch  snack/playtime at a nearby park and went out to breakfast instead. Yay!

It was a sea of orange.

On the hunt for the perfect pumpkin.

Goat! I want one.

We still haven’t made it to our local pumpkin patch, but we’ll try to get there soon… Our fall weather has not been the most cooperative!

  2. very cute. and glad you got some good family time in!! are you guys going to carve pumpkins with spencer? or at all? i’m still deciding how motivated i’m feeling about it… leaving them whole still looks festive, right?? :P

wish you guys could come to the little halloween bash i’m throwing. i feel like there isn’t much fun halloween stuff to do with toddlers, other than trips to the pumpkin patch! we’re probably taking poppy to another patch this weekend. makes for a fun day and i want to spend as much time outdoors as possible, before the weather turns to total poop here!

I don’t love carving pumpkins, so until he’s old enough to draw a face on for me to cut out, I think we’ll skip it. Maybe stickers? Or just whole on the front porch!

Goat! I want one, too. Nate says, “What are you, crazy?” and not in a friendly, joking, sure-I’ll-indulge-my-wife-someday way. More in a, Oh-hell-no-we-will-never-have-a-goat way. Maybe though his resistance to a goat will make chickens easier?

A pumpkin patch is on my fall list. My time is running out dangerously quickly…
