Wordless Wednesday: A bit of yellow

I live in Southern California; this means I can grow many traditional bulb plants (daffodils, tulips, and the like), but they bloom super early. Every year, without fail, I get the first bloom of the year with in a few days of my Mom’s birthday (Feb. 5th). These two popped up on the 6th and made me smile. Happy Birthday Mom! Miss you!

Beautiful. I have some volunteer daffodils but they haven’t bloomed yet. All my neighbors have, so not sure if mine will.

Our daffodils came up early here in SC and I was thrilled. Some were peeping their little heads out as early as the middle of January, but mine didn’t bloom until this week. I LOVE them!
