BabbaCo: BabbaBox Review and Giveaway

I don’t do a lot of reviews here on the blog, so when I do you can know it is something I really like. And when I was offered the chance to review a BabbaBox, I jumped at the chance. Somehow BabbaCo knew exactly how to magically be a total lifesaver and the box arrived as we got home from Spencer’s last day of school for his two week break before camp.

Spencer loves getting packages and couldn’t wait to rip in to this one.

Good thing it’s sturdy!

So. What everyone wants to know – what’s in the box? This was a constellation/solar system themed box which contained 2 crafts, binoculars, a book and a star shaped wine bottle stopper as a special treat for parents. It was so hard to keep Spencer from immediately ripping everything open, but we negotiated down to the binnoculars and the book.

Shh. Don’t tell him they go the other way.

After a few days, the sun finally came out (the fog, it is thick here in June) and we did the constellation craft. Using sun paper, Spencer stuck star stickers all of the paper and then we set it in the sun, rinsed it, washed the stickers off and tada! stars were transferred to the paper. Spencer truly thought it was magic – he even said a spell. Alacazam is his current favorite. He also loved the coloring pages included in the kit.

The second craft was a paper mache type project and I think I’ll save it until Spencer is a little bit older. The boxes are geared for ages 3+ and while Spencer is nearly there (only 5 more weeks!) I think making a planet nightlight might be a little advanced or perhaps just a little advanced for my patience.

BabbaBox is such a neat idea. It’s a subscription service where each month a new box arrives with themed activities and fun goodies. One of the great things is that everything is included – a project needs glue? There is glue in the box. There is also digital content with each box which is a fun added bonus.

Guess what! I have one BabbaBox to give away to a lucky winner, just enter below. And if you can’t wait to find out if you win, the code BBL20OFF can be used to receive 20 percent off a purchase.

We ordered the same box a few months ago and Maddie loved it too. The book is adorable! Mad is 5 and the paper mâché craft is still sitting in the closet; so messy and time consuming! I am sure it will be assembled at some point this summer.

I’ve ordered similar boxes from other places and have not been all that impressed.

These look much cooler than the junk I ordered!

Kai’s a little young yet for this, so I’ll let other people enter to win. It looks awesome, though…
