Little Bits from my Kitchen: vol 4

This will be a quick one. You guys know about toaster s’mores right? Perfect for summer – all of the deliciousness, none of the campfire. You do need a toaster oven for this one. Or, I suppose, a regular oven. Just don’t go shoving marshmallows down your toaster, burning your house down and blaming me.

How to make s'mores in a toaster

So, toaster s’mores. I don’t know why I never figured this out until I was pregnant and desperate. With a little tweaking here and there, I seem to have perfected them. I’m declaring this a recipe. Even if it only has like two steps and a bunch of common sense. Whatever.

  1. Split a rectangular graham cracker in to 2 squares.
  2. Line a toaster oven pan with foil (or just use a piece of heavy duty foil)
  3. Put a graham square on the pan.
  4. Put a chocolate square on the graham.
  5. Put a large marshmallow on the chocolate
  6. Put the pan in the toaster and toast on medium (mine runs 4 minutes)
  7. Start watching about the second minute, when the top of the mallows are toasty brown, remove from the oven.
  8. Top with the other graham square, FLIP OVER, and press down.
  9. Let cool as long as you can, stuff in face and repeat.
