Wordless Wednesday: On a Jet Plane

I’m back from BlogHer12. Whoa. What. A. Weekend. I came away with some pretty mixed feelings and think it’s best to allow a bit more time before commiting my opinions to the internet forever. That said, I flew in the same seat (20F!) going there and coming back and took some fun pictures out of the window.

This is from being stuck on the ground for two hours:

And these are from the air:

I’ll be visiting everyone who links or comments this week to make up for some previous slacking, so link up your wordless wednesday posts below.

  1. Don’t you just love plane shots! Can’t wait to hear what you thought of BlogHer12. I need to figure out my travel schedule next summer so I can be there. Usually we are in NH that whole weekend with family. Trying to get to Blissdom next spring too.

They moved it a week earlier next year. It’s in July and Chicago. I almost went to Blissdom last year, but couldn’t make it. For next year, I’m thinking about BlogHer food.

I think if Mommy were stuck on the ground for 2 hours she’d go mildly insane – she’s a little claustrophobic. I hope they were serving drinks!

  4. It was great to see you again! It stinks that a lot of people had to deal with the delay. But you are home safe and sound :)

I hadn’t been on a plane since 2008, so it had been a long time for me. My first trip with Vigin America and I thought they were great all around.

I was stuck, too Not an easy day getting home, for sure. I’m also holding onto my thoughts which are definitely mixed. It will be interesting to see what others think as well. I know we all had different experiences.

I’m really interested to know your thoughts on it all as last year I heard similar sentiments from some of my friends who were there in San Diego. I’ll be checking back to see what you thought after you process it all

Love these shots. I too was there and have mixed feelings. Not even sure where to begin with doing a post recap which is why it won’t happen until next week. Well that and I’m still quite exhausted from it all.

Hopping over from YYZbambina.com link up. I just love airplane shots. Whenever I go on a big trip I always try to take some. They are my favourite. I’m new to the blogging world and look forward to hearing your opinions about BlogHer12. I am considering attending next year.

  26. Neat pictures! I’m curious to hear what you thought – I’ve heard from a lot of bloggers that it was great but even more that it was overcrowded and frustrating. I’m debating whether to go next year and so far, I’m thinking I may skip BlogHer and try one of the smaller retreats instead. It’s a lot of money to be fighting crowds and missing sessions as a result.

Hope you have a great week!

    Amy Reply:

I think the key to getting in to sessions was being on time. The other issue was that some how people missed the information that the geek bar/writing labs had advance sign-ups. It was readily apparent before the conference, but not in the actual conference materials. Weird. I think a lot of the frustration and miscommunication about sessions was about the smaller sessions (and the geek bars were TINY – 8 spots).

Then, you need to find an In-home care provider to take care of them.

While many states do not recognize funds from Medicaid waiver
programs for assisted living, those that do are located throughout the country and
offer many options to aging Americans needing assistance with
daily living activities. Have a Plan – Seniors need to have a backup plan, just in case
    they do fall.
