Until it happens

I’ve been starting at the edit post screen for days trying to think of something interesting to say about hurting my leg. I got nothing. If you follow me on twitter you’ve probably heard my whining. Basically I have super crappy veins in my legs and due to the heatwave at the end of June, they were nice and puffy. Then I ran in to something or someone ran in to me and the already wonked out vein got some trauma. Then I got a clot. Delightful! I ignored it for a few days and then sucked it up and went to the doctor who sent me to the ER for an ultrasound and the verdict is: superficial phlebitis with a bonus infection. Yay!

While in the ER, they used the gurney to transport me from my emergency bay to the imaging department and I discovered I seem to have a little PTSD about being wheeled around like that left over from last year. I basically freaked out and went in to full panic attack mode and luckily no one noticed and I didn’t┬áhyperventilate. Hopefully, I can avoid that in the future…

To add to the woe is me, my husband has been out of town or working 16-20 hour days for the last week, which is over now. Spencer has been tolerating my couch lounging and is my official heating pad wrangler. He has watched A LOT of tv and movies in the last few days. I feel sort of horrible about it, but we’re headed outside today. And maybe to the mall play area ::shudder:: but I promised. He somehow found LaLaLoopsy and Littlest Pet Shop on netflix and became transfixed. I am honestly not sure which show is worse. Here’s hoping he doesn’t notice the toys in Target or try a last minute party theme switch. Right now he is dead set on Bad Piggies and I’m printing the invitations tonight.

Thanks for listening to my whining!

Bored.

Thanks! I survived 3 hours at the mall with Spencer, so I think I’m officially on the mend.
