Veggie Snacks from Green Giant {sponsored}

I must say, Spencer was super excited to get snacks in the mail. He likes mail and packages in general, but somehow he knew this one was special. Maybe he could feel awesome Green Giant vibes coming from the box. He begged to opening it from the minute it arrived and then when he saw the chips inside, demanded we eat some right that second.

Opening packages is super exciting.

We opened the Green Giant Roasted Veggie Tortilla Chips in Garden Ranch first and loved the flavor. It is definately a seasoned/flavored chip taste, but it isn’t heavy or overly salty. I liked it! Spencer and I ate a ton and managed to save a few for my husband. I handed one to him when he got home without saying anything and he thought they tasted great without even realizing it was a veggie based chip. We also made a lazy nacho with these, just melted a little grated jack on top in the toaster oven. Delicious! We also sampled the barbecue flavored Multigrain Sweet Potato Chips. All of us really liked the barbecue seasoning, really flavorful without being too overpowering.  These would be fantastic with a sour cream based dip or with a hot dog or hamburger. Yum!

Spencer loves chips.

Spencer does like his snack foods. I try and balance it, he can have some salty crunchies on the side with his sandwich at lunch with the carrot sticks and berries or in the afternoon. Sometimes we just need a little something crunchy for afternoon tv. It’s nice to know there are options out there that are on the healthier side. And while Green Giant Veggie Snacks are not a replacement for vegetables, there is some nutrition in there. And served with salsa, guacamole, cheese or a veggie dip, that’s a way to add some healthy fats, dairy and fruit/veggies into snack time, too.
