We picked our first apple of the year. We planted the tree when we first moved into the house, so unlike our established citrus trees, this one is not what you would call abundant. Last year we got two apples, this year is looks to be about four. It has been a struggle keeping Spencer away from the fruit, but he loved finally being able to pick, and eat, it.
Do you have a wordless wednesday post? I’d love to see!
I hate the name of my blog. I hate the way it feels when I say it. I am embarrassed. It doesn’t even make sense. I get asked all the time if I have 2 babies or an obsession with lemons. And then I have to explain that it’s a Simpson’s reference and invariably the answer is , oh I don’t watch tv. Then I feel like even more of a jackass.
Not only that, but it is a Simpson’s reference that barely makes sense in the context of the blog. I guess if people assumed I called it that on a whim after seeing the second line on a stick, it would make sense. But no. I started this old blog when Spencer was a month old.
But what to do? How much do I really have wrapped up in being Baby Baby Lemon? A few thousand page views a month? I don’t have ads, I don’t really have recognition. I do on twitter, but that name change is much easier. What to do?
This was a busy week in the lemon house. Spencer started preschool! We also had many a park visit, a few backyard adventures and went out to sushi! I’m testing out collages this week. I did them a with out much rhyme or reason, which is fun, but not helpful to know what is going on. Maybe next time, I’ll try out doing a Mon-Weds and Thurs-Sun collage or something.
Sushi! With chopsticks! First day of preschool (orientation). Picnic snack in the backyard. Swinging with no hands. Toddler in a box. Water painting.
Spence invented a new book stacking game that is oddly similar to Go Fish. My 50 cent garage sale chair. Murky diner pickles. Chili dog of awesomeness, my stomach was not quite ready for it. Reading.
I’m linking up with Amy over at A Good Life Blog for the week in phone pictures link-up.
August. Whoa. It most is a blur: BlogHer, sister visit, in-laws back from Chile, Spencer’s party, father-in-law back to Chile, preschool started. Ugh. Plus the worst. doctor. visit. ever. And I was sick, which almost never happens. It is a wonder I had any time for the internets at all. But, lucky you, I did. Here are some highlights: yours, mine and theirs.

This is where I admit that I read years of archives of Finslippy while I was sick. Years. And the Awards Go To… had me laughing so hard I was crying and made my stomach hurt. And my stomach already hurt, so really I’m the loser in Amy vs. the Archives, but go check it out. (via Finslippy)
