Spencer is 6!

Tuesday, July 28th, 2015

We went on a little weekend trip for his birthday instead of having a party. All the kid wanted for his birthday was legos, doughnuts, swimming and the IKEA ball pit for his birthday; so we went to Sacramento where they have all of those things! Plus a bonus Aunt who drove out from San Francisco. He rated it officially as “the best birthday ever,” which he says every year but is still nice to hear.

Three.

It takes some serious dedication to bake your own birthday party cupcakes on the night of your birthday. Especially when you are three. Happy Birthday Spencer! You are awesome.

Almost two!

Thursday, July 21st, 2011

This time next week, I’ll have a two year old. I thought I would be more emotional, but I’m just… not. I already feel like I have a two year old. Spencer is so tall and so verbal, that a lot of people think he is three. Three! Oh, wait. If he were three, he would probably be potty trained; maybe we should just skip ahead.

2 years behind, decades ahead.

Also, BlogHer seriously has taken over my brain. It is all I think about, the schedule, the parties, the clothes. It’s all getting to much for me. Last week, I was seriously considering bailing out. I regrouped, put on my big girl panties and I’m charging ahead. BUT, all the people saying, oh don’t worry about it are driving my crazy. I will worry about whatever I damn well please.

Then we have the birthday party the weekend after that. Due to an awesome summer clearance sale, we are having an accidental sailboat party. Awesome! Except to see a flurry of nautical pins on Pinterest. Thoughts on turning an angel food cake into a life preserver?

So to recap: next week: birthday, next next week: BlogHer, next next next week: birthday party.

Holy Crap.
