I still don’t have my Disney pictures ready because I keep telling myself that I am going to do a nice job with them and procrastinating until the last minute and throwing something else up. Ergo, hopscotch. My sister was here last weekend and we had tons of fun playing with Spencer in the backyard. We introduced him to hopscotch with mixed results.
And, no, we didn’t teach him helmet requiring extreme hopscotching, he was just learning to ride a scooter right before this. Safety first! Link up your wordless wednesday posts below.
I’m getting behind on posting our outing pictures which is sort of hilarious because, really, we don’t go that many places. At the end of April, we headed up the coast to Morro Bay to an emergency vehicle car show. We went last year and the event is super fun. There are a ton of fire trucks and police cars and kids can climb on them and talk to personell. Spencer had a blast and he also wanted to go in all the vintage stores up and down main street. Unfortunately, this is the only good picture I have. (Well, also fortunately, because I think it’s cute.)
Note to self: don’t just think your camera is on auto. Actually check.
After the vehicle show we headed over to the Cal Poly San Luis Obispo campus to look at the horses and cows. I love that they have it open to the public. It’s a great place to take kids and let them get up close and personal with horses and cows and if you go in the spring: babies! Spencer loved it.
Such a fun day!

2012 has been a rough year for babies. I lost my girls in February. My friend Suz lost one of her triplets. Alena just had her baby boy yesterday and he’s in the NICU fighting an infection. And then Diana who is trying to keep her twin boys cooking just as long as she can. I’m really at a loss for words, but I try so hard to remember that there is always hope.
If people are inclined to donate to the March of Dimes March for Babies fundraiser this year, my friend Mandy has information over on The Haps. This fundraiser is near and dear to my heart as I lost my babies to preterm labor. I hope to maybe organize or join a team next year.
Link up your wordless wednesday below and hug your children one extra time today {if their your childern. People might think it is weird if your hug random kids}. And for the curious, this is a random photo of the river near fort dodge, iowa. Or in fort dodge. I don’t remember, it was 2004.
This week has been crazy. My husband got some extra days off and we went all over Southern California and the Central Coast. Most notably, Spencer’s first trip to Disneyland. Consider his mind blown. More photos to come.
